About Lori Strantz
Lori has an extensive background in wellness, coaching and development, and business management. Lori provides all services at Spa Essence and has owned and managed a spa in Door County since March of 2000, with her current and most beautiful location being built in 2005 by her husband, Patrick. Her professional background includes being a licensed & certified massage therapist since 1997 (Wisconsin drl# 1501-146), a certified fitness trainer since 1996, and she now specializes in Pilates & Spinning® indoor cycling instruction with advanced training in Stott Pilates®, as well as being a certified Spinning® Instructor. Lori is a Certified Natural Health Professional with the National Association of Certified Natural Health Professionals, Inc. She is also a Wisconsin state licensed nail technician. Lori holds a B.A. degree in Human Resource Management with advanced training in Choice Theory, Reality Therapy and Lead Management from the William Glasser Institute. Lori has over 15 years experience coaching and training individuals in the areas of wellness education, relationship building, effective communications, problem solving, and overall personal and career development.
Before Lori and her husband, Patrick, moved to Door County in December of 1999, they resided in Minneapolis where Lori started her career in wellness education. LifeFit Management Inc. was Lori's first owned business where she provided one-on-one and corporate group training in a variety of wellness related areas including stress management, problem solving, communication, fitness walking programs, corporate chair massage, therapeutic table massage, and personal fitness training. Prior to that, Lori worked as a corporate Human Resources, Training and Development Director where she managed the overall human resources plans and strategies for a mid-sized private organization. She designed and facilitated all training and development programs for the company, including one-on-one and team coaching of employees.
Lori is extremely passionate about what she does personally and professionally. It is very rewarding for her to be able to assist others in their health and wellness needs. Lori feels that she is doing something where she is giving back to her community; "I feel as though I'm doing something important, and if I can help make a positive difference in the lives of others, then I am living my life purpose."
